My pen name is potatge. I do this to protect my safety as a Jewish person posting a webcomic with some strong themes.
I have to be very careful. I wish I didn't have to be careful though.
I am not being political in the slightest, but I know enough to know there many people who are vehemently against Jews. So if I keep posting the art that I do, I'm bound to attract negative attention.
You can pronounce potatge however you see fit. I personally pronounce it po-tats-jay but I am probably just butchering the spelling anyways.
I am not hiding my faith. Being told to hide a part of yourself is unfair.
I just prefer to hide my real name then, and luckily, potatge is a word which holds great significance to me.
